Hello Madame Vichot! Sven said you would like to see me here. I'm Dan from the freemen chat if Dakki doesn't ring a bell.
OK so about the meet in Brighton. I'm definitely on my way. Gonna fly with RyanAir, costs only 137 euros back and forth. Remember I travel from Finland and it's a bit longer trip than from Germany.
Actually I don't have that much more to say at this moment, just wanted to say hi and get the ball rolling!
Take care, and see you in the freemen chat tonight?
AAAYYYYY!!!!! My First REAL International Guest!!!!
Welcome, Dan..., err, Dakki..., whatever... So nice to have you here! Please stop by the Pink Parrot! I have a question there for you, about the song you talked about last Wednesday. I can´t find it anymore!
And thanx for opening this thread. I was about to do the same, but to busy lately. Hopefully some of the others will come here, too. Would be nice to get to know each other a little bit better, before we meet in September. Have to quit now. If I do not hop over to the british chat right away, MH might shoot me....

Greetings Freemen. I must apologise for being a little late with my weekly posting this week. This is due to an unforgiving workload.

Sadly, our Java based Chat Room is still causing problems for many of us, and on Wednesday night I popped in myself to see if I experienced the smae difficulties. As it was about 21.30 at the time, I didn't expect to see anyone there but was pleasantly surprised to find Madame Vichot floating about. (I think she's taken up residence in there as she too was surprised that anyone should be dropping by at such a late hour)!
I must confess that I didn't experience any of the troubles that have been reported and am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be no further disruptions to our weekly event.
I gave way to relentless pressure this week and announced the date of the Annual Get- Together before securing a venue. (This is totally out of character for me as I have usually tied up all the loose ends before being so reckless).
The meeting will be held on Saturday 22nd September in Brighton, East Sussex. It will incorporate a prop and model exhibition and the usual informal chat with members of The League and Cast members. All who attend are urged to bring their cameras as there is a further surprise that has been planned which I am sure you will want a momento of.
Because of the Chat Room problems there has been no journal from our inimitable Graz this week, but it was not without much effort on his part...alas in vaine! Thankyou anyway Graz.

Whatever you are doing and wherever you may be, have a wonderful weekend.
I know we're all gasping for the new release, but wouldn't it be great to have our informal gathering in September filmed with a view to being included as an extra on the disc? They could interview Adrian, who has kept the torch of fandom alight for 20 years, and anyone else who might show up, including actors, writers, and maybe even the great man himself.
I would dearly love to show those who mock The Tripods series that there quite a few folk out here who genuinely love it.
Alright freemen just wanted to drop by and say that I've now booked my flight for the September meet so I will DEFINITELY see you there!
Now I have to prepare for my highlight of the evening, Finland-Canada in the Ice Hockey World Championship Final! Which ofcourse means nothing to you brits but I just had to mention it since hockey is the number 1 sport in Finland. :)
@ Dakki Nice to hear that you confirmed! Looking forward to meet you in Brighton! You´ll have to bring at least one bottle of the beer, which you showed to us at a Wednesday chat! (hmpf, forgot the name of it...) Do you already have any idea, where you will stay in Brighton? Cause at our meeting this weekend we were wondering if it isn´t to cold/wet for camping at the end of September...

Well fri-sat I will sleep over at Peter O.'s house and sat-sun wherever I can find... It doesn't have to be wet, and I don't think it's very cold in september in southern England.
